Wrap Up – Pictures

Saturday, July 26th
1:51 AM: Photos from the pre-party at Mike’s house care of Randy (bikegerm).

Friday, July 24th
8:05 PM: Good news and bad news. Bad news is all of the pictures I took today came out really blurry, so you guys will have to wait for pictures of the pre-party at Mike’s house. Good news is… well, there is a multitude of good news. For starters, the party was AWESOME! Mike’s house was a gorgeous backdrop for an awesome time. The cars were ridiculous! I could go on and on and on. About 100 cars or so showed up to Mike’s, and that may be a conservative estimate. I will make a collage of the pictures I got after I scale them down so they will be clear enough to see, and I will collect pictures everyone else took and post them as well.
I found out two things about tomorrow that have me really excited. one, I guess you can actually go around Nashville Superspeedway! That is a must. Two, there is going to be a dyno there, so maybe I can solve my long-standing curiosity as to how much power I am making. I will have pictures from the show up tomorrow night at around 9 or 10 PM. Check back for those! Off for some BBQ!
8:33 AM: I have arrived in Nashville! It is kind of a hot, muggy day. I’m very excited about seeing some of the people from the Yarisworld forums, but in the meantime I have a lot to consider before the show tomorrow! My car is absolutely filthy, as is to be expected for a car that just endured an hour drive. I need to find a spot to wash it and get some cleaner wax on it. Anyway, my coffee is getting cold. I will post pictures from the BBQ later!
Thursday, July 23rd
1:50 PM: Time is going very, very slowly. Is it 5 yet?
11:25 AM: The hardest day at work is the one right before a vacation. I still have to pack, toss my tow hook cover back on, make sure I have EVERYTHING and get on the road once this is all said and done. It is going to be a long night. Mapquest puts the trip at 8 hours and 20 minutes. When you’re leaving at 5 PM, that is a long trip. Hopefully this day goes quickly.
Wednesday, July 22nd
11:55 PM: The unfortunate thing about owning a Yaris is that you’re pretty limited when it comes to speed and what you can eventually do with it. The nice thing is you can wash, clay and wax it in about two hours flat, which I did. Then, Dr. Claw, Sarah (the girlfriend) and I went out to the Twinsburg campus of Kent State University to shoot some pictures. We were joking about how the cops would show up. It was 11 PM on a Wednesday. Well, it took about 3 minutes and they showed up. What we didn’t know was that the photo shoot would be better for having them.

I never thought I would say this, but thanks Twinsburg police department! This weekend is starting off well! Off to pack. One more day’s grind and then it is time to hit the road.
8:25 PM: Just got home from volleyball. It is a rainy evening in Ohio, but that can’t stop me from washing, claying and waxing my car. I have a pre-meet photoshoot in a couple of hours so I better hop to it! Into the garage!
2:25 PM: I am at work right now thinking about the million things I have to do tonight before I head out tomorrow for the show. I still have to pack. I haven’t washed my car, inside or out. I leave tomorrow night, I work during the day and I have a volleyball game tonight that might throw a small wrench in the works. The good news is that under the months of dirt there is a car that is running and looking better than it probably ever has. I will post car stats later. I just wanted to kick it off. In two and a half hours, one wild weekend begins! See you all in Nashville!

Did they ever sent you the chart???
They did not! I’ll be patient for today, but tomorrow I may have to try and track down Omari and figure out what the hell happened there.
